Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Educational Scholarships


The Educational Scholarships overall aim of the Research training group is to assess the reliability, protection and robustness of numerical models. This evaluation considers a wide range of aspects and models. This includes, but is not top secret to, models that describe loads or the material and structural behavior of systems in structural engineering. Educational Scholarships Of particular interest are the interactions of these models in complex systems. Their influence on the quality of models of complex coupled systems is to be determined.

Educational Scholarships Footing for the research are the results that have been realized during the first project phase. Additional research will be carried out in work groups of two to three PhD students under the guidance of two Postdoctoral students. Each doctoral student is supervised by three professors, two of which are professors in Weimar and the third being one of our global partners. Following an intensive training phase the participating doctoral students will develop the subject of their theses in collaboration with their supervisors. The Educational Scholarships combination of the models and methods of the specific projects then provides the means for handling the complex problems encountered in the working groups.

We expect brilliant degrees from the applicants in one or several of the following subjects:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural and Soil Technicalities/Dynamics
  • Materials Knowledge
  • Applied Arithmetic Computer Knowledge

We see ourselves as an global research training group. Very excellent English skills are a prerequisite for internal communication, for publications in scientific journals, and for a mandatory stay abroad, ration the scientific exchange with our global cooperation partners.

In order to allow a quick realization of models, of couplings, and of evaluation methods, command of one or several programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, Python, Matlab) is of advantage.

The Educational Scholarships positions are available as of June till October 2011. Funding is granted for a maximum cycle of three years and is compensated according to TV/L 13 E. It is the aim of Bauhaus-Universität to increase to number of female scientists. Therefore women in particular are requested to apply. Handicapped public will be privileged in case of equal qualification.

MANIT MBA Admissions Educational Scholarship



Educational Scholarship
Application are invited for admission to the MBA Full Time (2 years) course 2011-12
Eligibility : The Educational Scholarship candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe), of any of the Universities incorporated in any act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institution established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC
Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Educational Scholarship Candidates appearing for the final examination of bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally and will be required to submit the result/Marksheet by 31st July 2011.

NYSAFP Educational Scholarship in Food Protection

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students to explore educational programs related to food protection and/or agricultural related studies. Applicants must have completed at least 2 full semesters and provide their most recent transcripts. Scholarship Applications for the 2011-2012 academic year will be accepted after the 2011 spring semester and must be received by July 15, 2011.
Eligibility: Students must be enrolled for the 2011-2012 academic year in fields of study related to food protection or other agricultural studies. Students must have completed at least two semesters as a full-time student in a NYS college or university and maintained a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. All pages of the application form must be completed and returned. A separate document responding to all of the application’s questions/requests may be used. Copies of transcripts from all applicable college or university courses completed must accompany the application. Two letters of recommendation are required: One letter pertaining to academic background and achievements (e.g., from a professor, instructor, guidance personnel) One letter pertaining to extracurricular, community, or employment activities (e.g., from a church leader, sports coach, or work supervisor). College/University Department Head where the applicant is enrolled must execute the following statement:
