NYSAFP Educational Scholarship in Food Protection

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students to explore educational programs related to food protection and/or agricultural related studies. Applicants must have completed at least 2 full semesters and provide their most recent transcripts. Scholarship Applications for the 2011-2012 academic year will be accepted after the 2011 spring semester and must be received by July 15, 2011.
Eligibility: Students must be enrolled for the 2011-2012 academic year in fields of study related to food protection or other agricultural studies. Students must have completed at least two semesters as a full-time student in a NYS college or university and maintained a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. All pages of the application form must be completed and returned. A separate document responding to all of the application’s questions/requests may be used. Copies of transcripts from all applicable college or university courses completed must accompany the application. Two letters of recommendation are required: One letter pertaining to academic background and achievements (e.g., from a professor, instructor, guidance personnel) One letter pertaining to extracurricular, community, or employment activities (e.g., from a church leader, sports coach, or work supervisor). College/University Department Head where the applicant is enrolled must execute the following statement:

ASEAN Masters Scholarship UK

The University of Nottingham offers a comprehensive and expanding range of scholarships in order to encourage academic excellence, aid diversity, develop relationships with sponsors and offer real financial assistance in cases of hardship, whether individually or by region.

10 scholarships of 25% towards tuition fees

Eligibility Details:

You can apply for this scholarship if you:
* are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) one of the ASEAN member countries – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam AND
* are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
* already hold an offer to start a full-time Masters degree programme (including MRes) at Nottingham in 2011 – any subject area (excluding MBA)

UK Scholarships : City University London Undergraduate

There are 7 Undergraduate Scholarships open to new students for 2010-2011. These are now open for 2010-2011.
City University have 7 undergraduate scholarships available each year for first year UK students, based on academic achievement and financial need:

* The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Bursary; There are two of these bursaries for students completing post-16 education in Islington before coming to City University

London. They are worth £1,000 each, paid each year of the course following successful progression
* The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers Award; This award is open to any first year UK undergrad to apply for, and is worth £1,000
* The Shirley Robson Memorial Prize; This £1,000 award is open to UK Music students about to commence any year of the undergraduate program.
* City Future Fund Scholarships; These £1,000 awards are open to first year UK undergraduate students on any full-time course. One award is for Engineering students only.

educational scholarship Fulbright Student Fellowships for Master and Ph.D

The Fulbright Program was established to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills. It provides funds for students, scholars and professionals to undertake graduate study and advanced research. The program was promoted by and named after Arkansas senator J. William Fulbright, who promulgated its passage through the US Senate in 1946.
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the opportunity to compete for Fulbright Student Fellowships for graduate study in the United States leading to a Master‘s degree or a Ph.D. To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Have a strong academic background and a record of excellence in previous studies;
  • Have completed a Bachelor‘s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Master‘s degree program, or have a Master‘s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Ph.D. program;
  • Be proficient in English (minimum score of 570 on TOEFL or ITP, or 230 on computer-based TOEFL), or 88 on internet based TOEFL, or 7.0 on IELTS;
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt readily to a foreign environment;
  • Be in good health and able to undergo a rigorous study program; and
  • Have no previous study experience in the United States.

Fulbright Student Fellowship grants provide round-trip transportation to the United States, as well as tuition, fees and living expenses for full-time graduate study. Grant provisions do not include financial support for dependents.
